Former NE Ag Director Wellman to Address Class of 2024

The Aggie Class of 2024, graduating on May 9 from the University of Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, will gain a valuable perspective on the agriculture industry from alum Steven Wellman of Syracuse, NE, President of Wellman Farms and former Director of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture as the keynote speaker.

Dr. Larry Gossen, NCTA dean, invites the public to share this significant milestone in the graduates' lives. "Aggie students attending NCTA have made Curtis their home for the past two or three years. They always appreciate the kindness and hospitality of the Curtis community during their time here. We invite the community to honor these graduates and to hear from one of our most distinguished alums, Mr. Steven Wellman, Regent Tim Clare, and Vice President Mike Boehm."

The graduation ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 9, at 1:30 p.m., at the Curtis Memorial Community Center, 201 Garlick Avenue. A public reception will follow at the same location.

Before graduation, campus visitors are welcome to a chicken fried steak luncheon buffet at the Aggie Dining cafeteria on Thursday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The meal price is $9.55 per person, including tax.

On Wednesday, May 8, public events include the induction ceremony for new Phi Theta Kappa honor society members at 2 p.m. and the NCTA Awards Program at 7 p.m. Both events will be hosted at the Nebraska Agriculture Industry Education Center auditorium on campus.
