Three topics to share this week have a common theme—Aggie alums are making a Big Impact!

New Office Associate

As the Summer Session begins this week, students are greeted by a friendly new face in our welcome center. Taylor Hendrix, a '22 NCTA Agribusiness Management graduate, brings a fresh and authentic perspective as the tour and events coordinator, among other duties. She was raised farming and ranching with her family near Holyoke, Colorado.

CURTIS, Neb. – The Alpha Iota Tau Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa inducted thirteen new members at the May ceremony with family and friends in attendance to celebrate their honor.

The academic honorary society recognizes the academic achievements of two-year college students. It provides opportunities for growth and development through honors, leadership, and service.

Whenever I brag about the students at NCTA, I really mean what I say. We have some great students on campus who recognize the value of their education in preparing them for the workforce. Many will continue their education at a four-year institution, but the foundation they have laid at NCTA makes them a stronger and more prepared student at the next level.

The Stock Dog Team is one of many team opportunities for students at NCTA. It offers students the chance to train herding dogs. Team members practice with their dogs twice weekly on a variety of hoof stock. Veterinary Technology instructor Leighlynn Obermiller coaches the team. An NCTA alumnus herself, Obermiller got her start with stock dogs while attending school to become a licensed veterinary technician.

CURTIS, Neb. (May 17, 2023) Friends, family, and supporters filled the Curtis Memorial Community Hall with pride and anticipation as the Class of 2023 entered at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, for the NCTA Spring Commencement.

Students hailed from 13 states, including Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Iowa, South Dakota, Georgia, Tennessee, Texas, California, Vermont, Virginia, New Jersey, and Minnesota.

University President Carter to Address Class of 2023 Saturday, April 29, 2023

The Aggie Class of 2023, graduating on May 4 from the University of Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture, will gain valuable insight from President William "Ted" Carter Jr. as the keynote commencement speaker.

Dr. Larry Gossen, NCTA dean, invites the public to share this significant milestone in the graduates' lives. "Our Aggie students cherish the community of Curtis as a big part of their NCTA experience. We are honored to hear from President Carter, Regent Kathy Wilmont, and Vice President Mike Boehm."
